The FFC Valve is a down hole sealing and locking tool that is annular pressure responsive (allows one-way gas flow from the annulus to tubing). Installed in the tubing string relative to the upper gas producing zone of the well, the FFC Valve opens with the static pressure of only 15 – 20 psi, allowing gas and liquids to migrate from the annulus to the tubing. When the differential pressure falls below the spring rate the valve will be forced closed.
Features:
In Applications with Dual Zone Completions to prevent upper and lower producing zones from mixing together:
- Allows upper zones to be flowed up the tubing and prevents liquid loading and subsequent production declines when the top zone is usually produced up the annular area. The “FFC” valve allows upper and lower strings to be co-mingled to maximize production from all zones
- Can introduce re-circulated gas to increase velocities
- No need for major re-completion, installation is all wire line
- More economical that re-completing the well
In Applications with Perforated Tubing - no sliding sleeve in the well bore to allow co-mingling of the upper and lower zones:
- Allows annular liquids to be lifted up the tubing string
- More economic that re-completing the well
- No co-mingling approval required (Bottom zones can be isolated while producing the upper zone)
- Installed with standard wire line
- Increases gas velocity in the tubing string which aids in the operation of an Interlift
- Can be used with or without compression
